Copeland Furniture
Furniture from the Northern Forest. Made in Vermont.
When it comes to crafting fine furniture, the Northern Forest provides the finest material - solid hardwood. The subtle color and grain variations of hardwood along with its inherent strength result in unique and enduring furniture pieces that decorate a home. Copeland creates bedroom, home office and dining room furniture using Cherry, Sugar Maple, Black Walnut and Ash from the Northern Forest. Copeland's designs and crafting techniques focus attention on the natural beauty of the wood - each piece reflects the forest from which it came.
Copeland Furniture purchases wood from controlled sources including those that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. All Copeland vendors ensure that the wood they provide is harvested from forests that: are not threatened; do not have high conservation significance; do not contain genetically modified trees. Further, the harvesting does not violate civil or traditional rights. Copeland Furniture is one of only a few FSC certified furniture manufacturers.
Copeland Furniture is made in Vermont. Forests cover over 75% of Vermont's acreage. Since 1948, about twice as much wood was grown in Vermont as it was harvested. Vermonters protect their resources - their forests, houses, public buildings, village greens - preserving the natural and man-made aesthetics that have always defined their home.
