Shin & Tomoko Azumi (1965- + 1966-)
Both born in Japan, the Azumis met at Kyoto City University of Art, where Shin studied product design and Tomoko studied environmental design. They have lived and worked in London since the early 1990s when both studied at the Royal College of Art. Shin & Tomoko Azumi established the AZUMI design studio in London in 1995. They describe their work as being about "changing people's behavior in a subtle way." The Azumis have operated individual design studios since 2005; their partnership has now dissolved.
