Stefano Giovannoni (1954- )
Stefano Giovannoni, born in La Spezia in 1954, lives and works in Milan where he
is master professor of architecture at Domus Academy. He has participated in
workshops at the Royal College of Art in London and Design Quest in Osaka,
Japan. Having been selected twice at "Compasso d'oro," his works are now part of
the permanent archive of Centre Georges Pompidou. Over the last two decades, he
has confirmed his vast talents through architecture and interior design, as well
as modern furniture creations that delight the eyes and relax the body. In
1997, he created the Bombo Collection for Magis. This series of colorful pneumatic
(adjustable height) bar stools and tables has been heralded, envied and sought after ever since.
