Terms of Delivery
Your order will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery, FedEx Ground, Air Freight, or White Glove In-Home Delivery as noted on the site or on your invoice. EuroFurniture reserves the right to change the method of shipping without notice. (For example: if one was to order several items that would ship via FedEx Home Delivery individually, we might group those several items and ship Air Freight).
All deliveries, without exception, require a signature at the time of delivery.
Air Freight Deliveries
Our standard delivery is a curbside delivery during regular business hours (generally M-F 9am - 4pm). If you need a special delivery (such as an inside delivery, debris removal, Saturday delivery, or white glove delivery), these are available at an extra charge. Please call EuroFurniture at 800.243.1955 for any special delivery needs. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt, before signing for the shipment. Any issues (loss, damage, etc.) must be noted on the delivery receipt. Remember, when you sign for a shipment, without exceptions, your signature is verification that your merchandise has been received in good condition. You paid for your furniture, please be there to inspect and sign for it. If you cannot personally be there, please give clear instructions to whoever will be receiving your order to open all packages and thoroughly inspect all merchandise. EuroFurniture will not take responsibility for any issues (loss, damage etc.) on orders that were received and signed for free and clear (without notation of loss or damage). Please be prepared to receive the shipment on the day of delivery. This may require the customer to have help and tools ready at the time of delivery (like when we ship you glass showcase in a wooden crate). If you are unsure about what you will need to do to prepare to receive your shipment, please call EuroFurniture at 800.243.1955 and ask us how we will be shipping your order.
The delivering Air Freight carrier will call you no less than 24 hours before delivery with a delivery window of no less than four hours. The Air Freight carrier is required to give you a reasonable amount of time to open all packages and inspect all merchandise.
Again, we cannot stress enough...you MUST open and inspect all goods BEFORE signing for the shipment. Do NOT sign for the delivery until you have inspected it and are 100% sure that your furniture is perfect.
EuroFurniture and our carriers will NOT accept "subject to inspection" or any similar notes on the receipt.
White Glove Deliveries
If you have specifically requested and paid for white glove delivery, your order will be shipped via one of our White Glove Delivery agents. The agent will call you no less than 24 hours before delivery with a delivery window of no less than four hours. White glove delivery includes shipping, installing, unpacking, and set up of your order. White glove does include debris removal. All White Glove Deliveries will be made during regular business hours. After-hours and Saturday deliveries are available at an additional charge. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt, before signing for the shipment. Any issues (loss, damage, etc.) must be noted on the delivery receipt. Remember, when you sign for a shipment, without exceptions, your signature is verification that your merchandise has been received in good condition. You paid for your furniture, please be there to inspect and sign for it. ATTN MIDWEST AND CHICAGOLAND CUSTOMERS: EuroFurniture does make deliveries with our Mercedes Benz Sprinter with our people almost anywhere within an 12 hour drive of Chicago. Please call Chris for details (800.243.1955).
Fed Ex Home Delivery AND FED EX GROUND
If you have provided us with an email address you will receive an email from FedEx notify with the tracking number(s). A signature will be required at the time of delivery. If it is obvious that there is extensive damage to your order (example: the truck ran over the box), please refuse the shipment. Otherwise, you can receive the package, but ask your delivery person to mark the package "received damaged." If you receive your FedEx shipment and find damage, you are required to notify European Furniture with two business days (48 hours) of your receipt. FedEx Home Deliveries occur Tuesday through Saturday (generally 9am-5pm). FedEx Ground delivers Monday through Friday, regular business hours.
Some merchandise may require assembly.
Special Orders from Italy
Because all Italian industry is on holiday for the entire month of August all special orders from Italy placed between July 1st and August 31st will have an extended delivery time than what is listed on EuroFurniture.com. These orders will not go into production until September 1st. If you have placed an Italian special order between July 1st and Aug 31st, you must add August holiday to the lead time (approx. four weeks additional). Some Italian manufacturers (Calligaris, Bontempi) have warehouses in the U.S. to supply their "quick ship" programs. These "quick ship" items may not be affected by the August vacation. Please call European Furniture to find out if the item you have purchased or are interested in would be subject to August vacation and an additional four weeks lead time.
All Special Orders
Lead times are estimates--never guaranteed. Our "on time" rate is over 90%. However, when you are dealing with importing and/or custom furniture at times there can be unforeseen delays of which EuroFurniture cannot be held responsible. All special orders are subject to a 25% cancellation or return fee (see return policy above).
Special orders will be charged 50% of the product total at the time of order processing. The balance due and shipping rate will be charged when your special order is received at the EuroFurniture.
All orders (special or stock) must be paid in full before shipping.
